I think that one piece is comedy anime t.v. show. The characters are called "Straw Hat crew." Luffy is strongest guy and rubberman, but he is not smart. And he is the leader of the those crew. His dream to become priate king. Same as the characters have different dreams. Zoro is good at fighing with 3 katanas and he wanted to become best swordman in the world plus, he is serious most of the times. That's his dream. Sanji is good at fighting with his legs and he is good cooker. He wanted to see blue sea. That's his dream. Nami is beauitful, but she is thief. She love treasures. She wanted to become best navitagor. Robin is beauitful, mature, reading books and she have knowlege about history. She wanted to find purtagory about history stuffs. She have "hands" power. U will see. Chopper is different from them. Chopper is reindeer and he is good doctor. He can shift into deer and stand up like beast. His dream to find a cure something. I think Full metal alchemist is funny. I like actions. I like Ed and Al. They are funny. They are good fighter. Roy Mustang is awesome fighter and he have flame. :)
One piece is kinda weird...do you watch the english version or something else? I don't know...one piece is just not my type of anime show...it's kinda weird, but I know a lot of people like it.
I do however like full metal alchemist, and it's one of the best anime's ever creatd, and they need to make a new series, because the last episode made me want more of it.

I don't watch the english verison of "one piece" and I think english verison is very very bad! I recommend you to watch Japanese version of "one piece." It's better much than english verison. Japanese verison is funnier than english verison. Yeah....I saw the last eposide of "full metal alchemist." The Japanese peepz made new "full metal alchemist" movie after the last eposide. I saw that movie already. Ok.

I gotta see FMA one of these days.
As for One Piece, I hate it and think it's ridiculously overrated. I'm not into anime revolving around some boyhood dream and the artwork and character designs are cheesy and don't impress me. I'm not trying to knock on people who like it but seriously people, there are much better things worth your time OUTSIDE of Shonen Junk.

Rigor....I respect ur opinion. Well....it seemed not ridiculous to me and some people. It's not some boyhood dream. I am gonna tell u. Luffy and his crew follow their dream what they wanted to become. I pick the story from one piece character, Zoro was kid and he used to pratice fighting with swords and he wanted to become the best swordman in the world. In reality life, some of us have dreams to become we wanted to become. I know that Japanese people are trying to teach to use anime t.v. shows to teach peepz about moral and lessons. For example, anime t.v. show called Yu Gi Oh is about Yu Gi Oh, young man who is the master of dueling with cards to beat everyone and he have support from his friends. That's friendship. Friendship is important to Yu Gi Oh. For anthor example, bleach anime t.v. show, Ichiago wanted to save Rukia's life. In reality life, someone is important to you and u really want to save this person's life from danger or bad peepz. My point is that there are moral and lesson in any anime t.v. showz.

Fma Is The Best, Hands Down
Yea Full Metal Alchemist is darn good.
And pinay, your right, a lot of animes besides being entertaining has good moral lessons. I love the lesson they try to teach in Naruto. Basically, they teach a lot of stuff, about friendship, courage, self-worth, and everything that they want to teach kids through anime.
Not all anime are like that...but it's still good...and that's why I love anime.

I know what One Piece is about. I endured 8 volumes of it or so trying to give it a chance and having an open mind. Trying to become the greatest pirate of all time and finding One Piece sounds a lot like a boyhood dream to me. It's not an original dream and I'm sure that dream isn't limited to Luffy. Him eating the Gum Gum fruit to be rubbery doesn't make him an exception. This definitely sounded a lot like one of my boyhood dreams when I was 5. Being a pirate... To cut it and get to the point, I don't like kiddie anime and prefer the more serious or mature rating types. (I don't mean hentai, you stupid virgins)
Personally I try to avoid most mainstream (Cartoon Network, Shonen Jump, Adult Swim, etc.) anime and try to dig up gems that're away from the public eye. A lot of things that go mainstream seem to be really low in quality and I personally think a whole lot of them are the worse to even represent the true quality of anime. I'd probably be more sympathetic toward mainstream anime if people would stop giving so much support toward so-so anime and invest in greater anime with a lot of potential.
FMA has been given good praise even by those as cynical as I and although it's mainstream, it looks worth my time. There can be some good mainstream anime but I just think that's a bit rare now. I'll try and preview it and if I like it, it might have a place on my dusty anime shelf...
I thought InuYasha had good potential but I want to kick the author's *** for how it ended up. And I don't mean just the ending either.

Yeah. FMA is very very good anime t.v. show plus it's very funny. I like Ed and Al. They are awesome fighters. Roy Mustang is awesome guy and he is flame alchemist. I like him too. That's one of my reasons why I like anime t.v. showz. I don't watch Naruto.
Rigor, I got ur point. I understand. Aight.....I am not trying to convince you. I think Inuyasha is good anime t.v. show too. Yeah, he do have good potential. He is good fighter.
you never seen naruto? You'll missing out girl. I think everyone on this board recommends this anime. It could be greatest action anime ever created I think.

FMA is extremely overrated.
First season was too slow. I didn't like it taking place in flashbacks. Why not work its way from the past to the present?
Second season, it picked up but it was still boring to me. FMA did not have enough action. As already said, the ending was also disappointing.
FMA could've been better if they ousted the flashbacks or just started from the beginning. They also could've had some type of character depth. Mustang and the others may as well not of been there since they lacked any kind of coverage or backstory.
