Psychology/psychiatry whichever it is.... Sorry. I have that confused at the moment. Anyway...

Do you think it's silly how there's starting to be psychology issues in everyday things like changing diapers?

This kind of science that names stuff like personality/mental disorders is one of the only sciences that I find to be unnecessary and seriously overused.

This is really making people overdependant and seriously shielded from real problems. I don't believe people in America are as depressed as the studies show. I think it's just that the depressed people will never change because they're being pumped with pills instead of being happy the natural way and comforted by family and loved ones.

Your right...That wont stop them from being depressed. They gotta actually work with them to make them happier in ways. When your just giving somebody pills it doesnt actually heal them of there wounds(sarcam). It's always gonna wear off and then your just giving them even more pills.

I had personal experience with this.

In middle school I wasn't as friendly as everyone else so I ended up being pumped with pills because my personality trait was just unacceptable. They say I'm bipolar just because of that. Does that mean any other grumpy person is not normal and needs to be drugged back to "normal?"

While on those pills I seriously wanted to kill people. Now it wasn't just the pills. It was just the entire situation being evaluated instead of being talked to like a normal person. I'm not taking those things anymore, thank goodness.

I absolutely hate seeing things on television where lazy parents continue to let their kids be drugged for being diagnosed with something like ADHD/ADD. Kids, especially little boys, will be quirky and full of energy. That's no reason to drug them at such an early age and not teach them how to behave. What will happen when their kids get older and finally off the drug? They won't just be back to normal because their parents didn't teach them a damn thing and thought the drugs would solve all their "problems."

I'm sure any long time posters here noticed that I'm a little wacky and messed up. This says a lot.

Yah...My brother in law has ADD. He takes pills everyday...Yet he still goes crazy sometimes. There not really called "The ones who help" (doctors) if everytime a person has that kind of problem they just drug them...If you really want to help, stop it at the source...That'll stop it forever...Yah its true...Im also discusted from what they do to kids. Parents being lazy. Kids not being taught the way they should act...

But Rigor I think you would have a better sense at this than I do...Cause of what you been through...It must hurt to see others go through it too.

I been wondering about that as well. There is names for everything now. It's really annoying. It's like, I'm a psych doc, so I'm going to make a name for changing diapers...

Yea, they need to focus on something else. Science can't explain everything nor will theories.
